About Wildflowers

Welcome

Sister’s, let’s talk about the lies we’ve been told. We’ve been taught that our worth is tied to how much we can give, how much we can sacrifice for others. Our foremothers have been doing this for millennia, and to what end? We’ve lost so much in the process; our connection to self, our inherited sense of knowing, our intuition.

Shhh…can you hear that voice deep inside of you? That is the call of your wild authentic self, and she is calling for you to reclaim her. Imagine letting go of old paradigms stepping into the truth of who you are truly meant to be? You don’t need rescuing, you have everything you need within you to become the heroine of your own story.

It’s time to let your spirit bloom like a wildflower, wherever life takes you. Are you ready for the journey?

If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.

The Wildflower Journey 2024 Schedule

To Be Announced

Trauma is passed down one generation to the next. It embeds itself in the body’s cells, changing it in fundamental and destructive ways. The effects of this generational cycle of abuse exist in the blood & bones of their descendants.

The Invitation

I invite you to join me on a journey of healing, self-discovery, and gentle resistance. Together, we’ll explore ways to reconnect with our younger selves and tap back into the unbridled energy of our true, untamed spirits. This journey is about awakening, empowering, and reclaiming what has been rejected, silenced, or forgotten. It’s our act of resistance – a way to recover and remember what has been taken from us. This will be the beginning of a transformational journey on your path to healing.

Our ancestors lived in harmony with the natural world, following the rhythms of the seasons and learning from the wisdom of the earth. Today, many of us have lost this connection, and with it, the legacy of generations past. But it’s time for us to reclaim the wisdom of our foremothers – the healers, midwives, teachers, and village elders who kept the balance and maintained a sacred relationship with nature and the divine. Our blood and bones know instinctively what we’ve lost, and it’s time to remember.

Together, we will carry the messages of our grandmothers back into our collective consciousness, embracing our wholeness, and refusing to be defined by anyone but ourselves. We will celebrate an awakening, embracing the wisdom of our years, and tend to the wildflowers that continue to bloom within us and all around us. Are you ready to join me on this journey?

The most beautiful blooms are rooted in hope. – Carole Nobles

Like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all of the places people thought you never would.

Our Roadmap for the Journey

WEEK ONE:
Embracing the Full Story

Week one, we will reflect on our personal story, generational trauma, and our known ancestral past, to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves as women. By acknowledging the pain we’ve experienced, we can begin the journey towards healing and empowerment. By weaving together our stories and the wisdom of our foremothers, we can create a beautiful patchwork quilt that enriches our self-awareness and personal growth

This week’s call will include a guided meditation, storytelling, journaling prompts/writing, and circle sharing.

2 Hour Live Call

WEEK TWO:
Restoring Legacy

Week two, we will explore how a patriarchal system has erased the stories of our foremothers, resulting in a disconnection from powerful women archetypes. These archetypes embody qualities such as wildness, intuition, creativity, and freedom that have been suppressed, leading to disempowerment and a lack of fulfillment in women. By reclaiming and integrating these archetypes, we can reconnect with our inner strength and live more authentic lives.

This week’s call will include folktales, creating flower mandalas, journaling prompts, and circle sharing.

2 Hour Live Call

WEEK THREE:
Crafting a New Framework

Women are often indoctrinated with societal norms and discouraged from questioning their beliefs, especially those in patriarchal societies. It is crucial for women to awaken and establish their own truth, rooted in self-awareness and authenticity. By honoring their inner wisdom and creating healthy boundaries, women can build personal foundations that foster holistic well-being and respect for all things.

This week’s call will include a guided meditation, journaling prompts, writing, and  circle sharing.

2 Hour Live Call

WEEK FOUR:
Awaken the Dream

To actualize one’s passions and dreams, cultivating a  sense of inner freedom is essential. Letting go of external expectations and staying open to new ideas and experiences, is key to unlocking creativity and passion. Inspiration plays a crucial role in this process as well. Seeking out sources of inspiration in the world around us, can help us to tap into the inner wellspring of creativity and passion that lies within.

This week’s call will include a guided meditation, journaling prompts, writing, and  circle sharing.

2 Hour Live Call

The things that women often reclaim are often their own voice, their values, their imagination, their clairvoyance, their ancient memories. If we go for the deeper, and the darker, and the less known, we will touch the bones.

Meet Your Host –
Ella Hicks

She said she’s wild ~

She can grow anywhere.

As a survivor of domestic violence myself, I cannot use my image out of an abundance of safety for myself and my family. The illustration I use for my icon is by the talented artist, Elizabeth Mayville.
Ella is a mother, an artist, and a survivor of domestic violence. She is the founder of Rebel Thriver, a nonprofit movement that supports the healing of survivors of domestic violence, and is a certified trauma and mindfulness coach (although she prefers the term teacher/healer). She is a sought-after coach, and is highly respected for her extensive knowledge and experience in helping survivors heal from domestic abuse.

Drawing on a variety of trauma healing practices with an integration of mindfulness, she helps women from around the world recognize that healing is a gift that one must give to themselves, and that it is essential for living an authentic life.

Her work is grounded in the belief that we must approach healing holistically; body, mind, and spirit. Having an awareness of intergenerational trauma, that is often passed down without our awareness, is a key to understanding our own story. Her message is clear and resounding…everyone is worthy of love and respect, and there is always a better place to be then in the continuing cycle of abuse.

Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honor the darkest parts of ourselves, and the most painful of our life’s experiences, because they are what allows us to birth, our most beautiful self. -Debbie Ford

Women are Talking…

Once again, you hit the nail on the head for me. I appreciate you, so much; you always speak the truth. No one likes to have their boat rocked, the group comes from surviving through a difficult times. More than survive in, though, coming out the other side, a stronger person, with most positive self knowledge. Sending you much love today, and bright blessings!

After wanting to leave my abusive husband for 22 years, I have finally succeeded. This was in no small due to the haven that I have found here and those who have reached out to me. I have been feeling so powerless & ashamed for a long time. I keep asking myself “what/who have I become?” and I know I have a long, long road to healing. Words cannot adequately express how much you  you mean to me.
Doreen

You have made my day so often…when I am hurting, when i feel unseen, when the present is overwhelming and the future already exhausting. You have also made my day when I am feeling strong, determined and phoenix-like (quite literally re-emerging from the ashes). You make a difference; remember that ALWAYS. EACH DAY. Even if it isn’t said to you; believe me, IT IS FELT. And isn’t that the most glorious thing of all?! You help others learn how to sit with their feelings when connecting with themselves: their past, their present, their future.
Raquel

Once again, I want to thank you for always having the right words at the right time, and for reminding me that I’m not crazy.  Thank you for the way all of your support and love makes me feel just a little bit less alone. “We’re all just walking each other home.”

From the moment I met Ella I knew that she was the person to help me find my way back to me. She has been a constant support and a guiding light for me and with her help I have created a healthy beautiful life. Ella understands where I was coming from because she herself has her own story of redemption. If she can do it then so can I. She is a great coach if you are ready for growth.

Jessie

It’s so comforting to finally realize that you’re not alone. When friends and family don’t “get it”, to know that someone understands you is priceless. After more than 15 years of living in a narcissistic relationship, I executed a safe exit plan.  I wish I would have known about this loving and safe space at that time. It’s been 10 years since my divorce, and I am just now finding my voice. I’m finally starting to feel comfortable sharing my story.

Goddess Rising

by Mishi McCoy
This is for the women

Who have walked with hidden shame

Stirring like all is well

Though weighted down in pain.

This is for her Inner Child

Who longs to forget

Her innocence stolen

Body, soul and spirit rent

into pieces- fragments-broken-bent

This is for the Maiden

Longing to belong

-To another –

In hopes

to make right the darkened wrongs

Not realizing-blinded by oozing wounds

Her own innate delicious power

Thick within her womb

This is for the Mother

Breaking eons of fettered chains

For the children she has birthed

Through blood and breaths of change

She calls them Redemption

Regardless of their names

This is for the Crone

Who called her shattered pieces Home

To herself-

To all her luminous bodies

Where she never dared to feel

Making strong her bones

Crushing~ oppressors

With the swaying of her hips

Her hands soaring like doves

Honey dripping from her lips

This is for the Wild Woman

Who traversed the Underground

Leaving her footprints

While taming the Hellhounds.

Like a seed breaking fallow ground

Emerging fruitful garden

No longer bound

By the nightmare of the past

Awakened from the Dream-

Of Separation

SHE. IS.- merging realms between.

This is for the woman, for the Goddess

For me

For you

Rising from our ashes

Making ALL things new~
